Academic English Program
This six-level program takes students from low intermediate to advanced level of proficiency. Regular attendance, active participation, and homework assignments are required.
The objectives of the Academic English Program are as follows:
To enable students to develop
- language skills to a level sufficient to study at an English speaking university
- study skills such as note taking, giving presentations and discussing academic topics
- critical thinking skills
- an awareness of academic and cultural expectations of studying abroad
- the ability to learn independently
Instructors
- All instructors have graduated from western universities
- All are professionally qualified language instructors
Student Entry Requirements
- Students must be eighteen years old and have completed Matayom 6 or equivalent
(individual cases may be considered)
- All students must take the AEP Placement Test and be placed at the appropriate level

- 8.00 - 09.55 AM : Reading/Writing
- 10.05 - 12.00 noon : Listening/Speaking

- 120 hours of instruction per level
- Six proficiency levels : low intermediate to advanced
- Content-based Curriculum
- Integrated skills approach to prepare students for IELTS and the new TOEFL
- Live lectures and seminars
- Independent projects are emphasized
