Special Teachers

It takes special skills to prepare students for the iBT TOEFL or IELTS exams, and then for life at a western university.  Fortunately, AUA can draw on its large faculty of experienced teachers to find those best suitable for the Academic English Program.  These teachers know how to combine the teaching of English with new academic material, and understand how to develop study and critical thinking skills.  They are experts at building student confidence in classroom speaking and successful exam and term-paper writing.   All our teachers have graduated from western universities, and are certified TESOL professionals.  In addition, most have post-graduate degrees in many wide-ranging disciplines.

All our teachers are native-speakers of the language, and are keenly interested in the progress of each student.
