Programs and Courses at AUA
A:
There are three difference courses
 
1.Regular Courses are the core multi-skills English language program. There are 15 levels, followed by Certificate levels leading to a certificate of Proficiency in English. All new students must take the AUA placement test and be placed at the appropriate level. more

2.Special Courses provide an opportunity to supplement study in the Regular Program, to continue study after Level 15, or for non-AUA students to study special subjects. Courses focus on specific language skills or purposes.
 
Q:
How many categories of Regular course are there?
A:
There are to 3 categories as follows:
 
Three - Week Course:
Tuesday - Friday. Students complete one level in 3 weeks. This course is offered at 10.20 - 12.50 hrs. and 13.20 - 15.50 hrs.


Six-Week Course:
   Students who wish to study one 30-hour level each term can choose Tue - Thu class between 17.00 – 18.40 hrs. Each class is 1 hour 40 minutes in length.
   Students who wish to study one 30-hour level each term can choose a class which is held 2 days a week (see below): Mon and Wed or Tue and Thu. Class are available at 16.10 – 18.40 hrs. 18.50 – 21.20 hrs.

Weekend Course:Classes last for 2.30 hours per week, with 6 weeks in a term. Class hours are 08.00 – 10.30 hrs. 11.00 - 13.30 hrs. 14.00 – 16.30 hrs.

How to apply?
A:
Applicants for study at AUA must be at least 15 years old and bring the following documents;
 
1) Educational record M.3 (Grade 9) or above
2) Identity card or passport
 
Q:
What is the qualification of AUA's teacher?
A:
All teachers are native English speakers with at least a bachelor's degree. Many have master's degrees in various fields and credentials in teaching English as a foreign language. A TEFL certificate and teaching experience are also required.
 
Q:
What is the AUA Placement Test?
A:
This test covers the areas of listening, reading and language use. The test ensures that students get the best English language education while at AUA .
