AUA is a not for profit organization which was established in 1951. Since then it has taught upward of 500,000 students and today remains the premier English language center in Thailand. There are 21 schools nationwide and students can transfer between schools with ease. AUALC in Pattaya is a joint educational venture with Burapha University, Bang Saen and celebrated 10 years of cooperation in 2005.
AUA Pattaya is situated in the Pattaya Bazaar shopping mall, at the Dolphin roundabout, north Pattaya. Close to the Amari and Dusit Resorts, the City Hall and a few minutes walk from the beach. The school is unusual, for AUA, in that it is not located within an educational establishment. It is free standing and draws students, mainly, from the local hotel and leisure sectors.
