Tuition Fees
Due to exchange rate fluctuations, SIT Thailand is pleased to announce a reduced course fee of 50,000 baht. The
high quality of the course, the trainer:trainee ratio, the materials
provided, the outings, and the facilities will not be affected by the
lower course fee.
- 50,000 baht
This covers:
- a full course binder and notebooks
- unlimited photocopying rights
- computer access (including Internet access)
- coffee, tea and snacks at throughout the course
- access to an extensive resource library
- mid and end-course outings
- all conceivable teaching materials
- An 8,000 baht deposit and a 2,000 baht application fee (approximately $300) is required to reserve a place on the course.
- Once
your deposit and application fee is paid, your place is secure. You
won't be asked to pay the balance until a week before the course starts.

Entry Requirements

possess a high school diploma. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential

show interest in and commitment to teaching ESL or EFL
-
have a positive attitude regarding experiential activities and working in groups
-
demonstrate
spoken and written English proficiency. Non-native speakers need a
minimum TOEFL score of 550 for the pen-and-paper test or 213 for the
computerized version, or an IELTS Band 6.0 or higher. Alternatively, we are happy to interview applicants and review written work.
The Application Process
Read as much as you can about the course. Decide whether you think it would suit your needs.

Complete the application form, including the essay, and either send it to us by email or bring it in to us.

Pay your application fee and deposit to reserve your place on the course.

Payment Information
A
minimum initial payment of 10,000 baht (approximately US$300 depending
on the exchange rate) is required to cover both the deposit 2,000 baht
and application fee 8,000 baht. The balance for the cost of tuition
will be 40,000 baht.

a scanned signature).
Please note that if you pay by credit card, the total payment will be 52,300 baht. This includes bank charges and VAT related to credit card use of 2,300 baht in total.

Refund Policy

Pre-Course Decision not to Attend
If
a participant decides not to attend a course for which she or he has
been accepted, he or she may apply the 2,000 baht application fee and
the 8,000 baht non-refundable deposit towards another course within 6
months, provided the SIT TESOL Certificate Course at AUA is able to
fill his or her spot in the original course.

Decision to Withdraw within the First Two Days of the Course
If
a participant withdraws, or is asked by trainers to withdraw because
sessions/days were missed in the first two days of the course, he or
she can receive half of the tuition payment back, minus the 8,000 baht
non-refundable deposit and the 2,000 baht application fee.

Withdrawal Due to Serious Medical Reasons or Emergency
If
a participant must withdraw mid-course for serious medical reasons or
because of a family emergency, he or she can enroll in the next SIT
TESOL Certificate Course that is offered at AUA Language Center. That
is, participants can only postpone until the next scheduled course. If
this course is missed, the participant forfeits the full course fee.
There will be no refund.
