Graduation

— Students who have met the A.U.A. Language Center requirements for completion of its regular English language program and have passed the level 15 tests will receive the A.U.A. Certificate of Proficiency. In December each year, at the end of term 7, a Graduation Ceremony is held at A.U.A. Rajadamri, at which Certificates of Proficiency are presented to students from the 6 Bangkok branches who have passed the level 15 tests.

Writing Board

—  As a way of encouraging students to write, we have a 'writing board' where we display students' writings. Students can win prizes (book tokens) in two categories, as follows:

1) Short essays or compositions written by students at home, on one of the two topics that are set each term. Examples of recent topics are ‘Write about some of your childhood memories’ and ‘Do you believe in ghosts? Why, or why not?'

2) Examples of the best writing done in the classroom, selected by the teacher. Entries are judged separately at two levels – lower (1-8), and intermediate/higher(9-15).

Library

— One of the best ways to improve your writing is by reading. At AUA Thonburi we have a library of about two hundred books, in special editions for language students, carefully selected and graded according to the various levels. Books range from 'serious' subjects like history and technology, through romance and adventure, to Mr. Bean! You can borrow a book at any time, free of charge, for a week. Just go along to the office, choose your book from the list, and show your student ID card.

Book Report Competition

— Write a book report and enter the competition to win a book token. All you have to do is read a book from our library and write a book report. You should get the example report from the office to help you.

I.D. Card

— All students must have an AUA I.D. card. You must bring it with you to AUA every time. You need to show it when you go to the office. You cannot take an AUA tests unless you present your AUA I.D. card.
