English for Communication Develop the basics of all 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing in a friendly teaching atmosphere with grammar and language usage in order for learners to have a good foundation in English communication. Prepare for other specialized courses effectively Course structure : 6 levels: A1/A2/B1/B1+/B2/C1 Teaching approach :  Live teaching by highly qualified native speaking teachers Course hours and duration :  80 hours per CEFR level within 16 weeks 4 parts per level (20 hours per part) 2 sessions of 2.5 hours each per week (total 5 hours / week) Student qualifications : 15 years old and over Placement test: AUA-Oxford Placement Test (and interview if necessary)

1952

American University Alumni (AUA) Language Center was established by American University Alumni Association under the Thai Royal Patronage with the support of the U.S. Embassy to serve as a center to promote a deeper understanding between the people of the two cultures through language teaching and cultural exchanges.

AUA Language Center was first located at King Rama 5th’s Saranrom Palace. Many administrative officers and teachers were seconded from the United States by the U.S. Embassy to help organize and operate AUA Language Center.

1962

After a decade of fruitful results and given a growing number of students, AUA Language Center was relocated to its current location on Rajdamri Road, the piece of land originally owned by Thailand’s Treasury Department.

The late Her Royal Highness Somdet Phra Srinakarinra Boromarajonani, King Rama 9th’s mother, presided over the inauguration on September 7th, 1962.
